Patricia "Pat" Bayless' Obituary
Patricia "Pat" Bayless, age 85 of Richardson, TX, passed peacefully at home January 7, 2021. She was born November 10, 1935, in Longview, TX. She was the daughter of the late J.C. Anderson, Rex and Royce Gandy. Pat grew up in Longview and East Texas and graduated high school in Texarkana, TX, where she met the love of her life, Joe Bayless, Jr., with whom she was married 38 years. She also attended Texas Wesleyan College. While raising a family of three, Pat worked as a homemaker, prior to that she worked as a secretary at an oil company.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Joe" Bayless Jr of Richardson; sister, Sadie Jane Anderson; and daughter, Shelly Suzanne.
She is survived by a son and two daughters, Mark Bayless (Donna) of Brentwood, TN and grandchildren Joseph P. Bayless and Madelaine Laurence; Kelly Sweetser (Billy) of Fayetteville, AR and grandchildren, Blake Sweetser and Lauren Sweetser; Holly Ritter of Richardson, TX and grandchildren, Joseph R. Bayless, Case Bayless and Blaine Ritter.
Pat wanted it mentioned, "all my precious cousins - those gone before me and those still living - I want them to know how important they have been to my life. In the end, we can hope that we have left a mark on the one's we have loved the most, that we have loved them so well, a piece of us will remain a part of them - my children, my grandchildren, my cousins and family."
Private graveside services will be held Friday January 15, 2021 at 10 AM at Restland Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
