Patricia Anne-Marie Rawlins' Obituary
Patricia “Trish” Anne-Marie Wingo Rawlins was born on February 22, 1948, in Lubbock, Texas, to Nelly and Joe Wingo. She grew up in Richardson and graduated from Richardson High School, where she met the love of her life, Clay Rawlins, when they were just 15 years old. They married and shared over 56 years until his passing in 2019.
Trish passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
After high school, she attended El Centro Community College, where she studied journalism and contributed to the student newspaper, The Conquistador.
When her children were young, Trish devoted her time to being a stay-at-home mom—a role she cherished. Once her children were older, she began working in the registration office at Eastfield College, where Clay taught electronics for more than four decades. Later, she joined Garland ISD, serving as a data clerk at Beaver Elementary and W. C. Daugherty Elementary.
Trish and Clay were deeply involved in their children’s schools and activities. They were active in the PTA at Beaver Elementary, Jackson Middle School, and Garland High School, and were especially proud supporters of the Mighty Owl Band.
Family gatherings at their Lakehouse on Cedar Creek Lake were a highlight of Trish’s life. She loved weekends spent with family and friends—boat rides, cookouts, and laughter filling the air. An animal lover at heart, she and Clay doted on many pets through the years, especially Munch and Artie, who brought them so much joy. Daisies, her favorite flower, always made her smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelly and Joe Wingo, in-laws, Robert and Juanita Rawlins, and her husband of 50 years, Clay Rawlins. Trish is survived by her daughter, Tina Rawlins of Garland, and son, Tim Rawlins of Garland; several lifelong friends; and extended family who will miss her dearly.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the ICU department at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Plano, whose compassionate care and kindness brought comfort during Trish’s final days.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 2, at 12:00 p.m. at Restland Cemetery in Dallas.
She will be remembered for her devotion to family, her quiet strength, and the love she shared with all who knew her
