Patricia Summers' Obituary
Patricia Lee Summers Foree was born on August 15, 1924 in Gladewater, Texas. She was the daughter of Ruby Lee Nichols.
Patricia passed away January 1, 2026 at her home in Highland Park, Texas. She grew up in Gladewater and attended Gladewater High School and Kilgore College where she was one of the first Kilgore Rangerettes.
On a visit to Dallas, she met her future husband, Earl T. Summers, whom she married on January 15, 1943. They had three cherished children, two sons, Steve and James Summers and one daughter, Sharon Summers Fulgham Smith.
Earl preceded her in death in 2002 after a very happy 59-year marriage. Patricia met her wonderful second husband, Robert L. Foree, Jr. whom she married December 15, 2005. They shared many happy years together, traveling extensively.
She was an avid golfer and through the years enjoyed playing at Lakewood Country Club and Northwood Club in Dallas, Texas; The Broadmoor Golf Club and The Garden of the Gods Club in Colorado Springs and Eldorado Country Club in Indian Wells, California.
Patricia was a remarkably beautiful and generous woman with a lovely sense of humor. Patricia is survived by her son, Stephen John Summers and beloved daughter-in-law, Emily Summers; her daughter Sharon Summers Fulgham Smith and beloved son-in-law Blair Smith and Patricia's son, James Dale "Skip" Summers.
Patricia is also survived by her grandchildren: Caroline and Bobby Taubman, Laura and Travis Briggs, Stephen and Elisa Summers, Daniel and Anita Fulgham, Anne Jones and David Kelton and Patrick Fulgham. Patricia's granddaughter, Leigh Summers Fulgham preceded her in death.
Patricia's great-grandchildren are: Will and Genevieve Minis; Olivia, Lucas and Helena Briggs; Emily, Camille and Stephen Summers; Annabelle and Ariella Fulgham and Thomas and Henry Jones and Charlotte Fulgham.
There will be a private family graveside service at Restland Funeral Home at 3 PM, Wednesday, January 7. The family wishes to extend a special "Thank you!", to each of the compassionate caregivers who attended to her during her final days.
