Patrick William Balch's Obituary
Patrick William Balch, age 49, of Richardson, Texas passed away to be with our Lord on October 13, 2017. Born November 9, 1967, in Dallas, Texas to loving parents, Owen J. Balch and Dianne M. Balch of Richardson, Texas, he grew up catching crawdads in the creek and playing with his best friend and brother, Jeffrey, in Heights Park. Patrick graduated from Richardson High School in 1986 and went on to attend classes at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.Patrick served in the U.S. Army, First Cavalry in Ft. Hood, Texas. He was trained as a Bradley Fighting Vehicle driver. After his service in the Army, Patrick became an accomplished and dedicated sales executive in the telecommunications industry.More importantly, Patrick had a heart for serving others. His generosity was exemplified by his selfless work as a missionary to the impoverished people of Nicaragua. In 2013, as the Texas Chapter Leader of “Corner of Love,” Patrick lead a large group of volunteers to hold medical and dental clinics in Nicaragua. He subsequently spent a full year in Nicaragua working in service to mankind.People close to Patrick knew him as a man of varied interests and passions. In addition to his dedication to serving the less fortunate, he was a generous and beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews, a collector of art, a classic car enthusiast and had a passion for fine wines. Patrick was happiest spending time with his family, golfing weekly, participating in various sports, playing cards, bowling and working with his hands. He was an extremely hard worker in whatever task he undertook.Patrick is survived by his loving parents; Dianne M. Balch and Owen J. Balch, sisters; Jennifer Potts and Jacqueline Jagger, brother; Jeffrey Balch, brother-in-law; Pete Jagger, sister-in-law; Deborah Balch and nieces and nephews; Chad Seix, Shelby Seix, Mary Claire Potts, Chris Jagger, Brittany Jagger, Stuart Balch, and Caroline Balch.Memorial Services for Patrick will be held at Restland Memorial Chapel located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243 on November 18th, 11:00 am.
