Patrick Jerome Burns' Obituary
Patrick Jerome Burns passed away on June 10, 2023 at the age of 81 after a short illness. Patrick was born on October 31,1941 in Rockford, IL as the first child of Robert Mackey and Grace Mary Lester Burns. His college education was achieved at Northern Illinois University.
Patrick ventured to Dallas in 1975 to visit a family member and never left. Sports and outdoor activities were Pat's passion. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, the Dallas Mavericks and an avid hunter. State and national parks for hiking and touring were on his favorites list.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nora Jarvis Burns of Dallas, son Sean Patrick and wife Nancy Burns and two grandchildren, Lindsey and Ryan Burns of Phoenix, AZ. A large, loving family of Burns brothers and sisters and their spouses will grieve his loss. A celebration of his life will be held at a private family memorial event.
