Patsy Jo Bosscawen's Obituary
Patsy Jo Miller Bosscawen was born November 4, 1935 in Herrin, Illinois and attended Herrin High School. New Year’s Eve, 1951, on an arranged blind date she met the love of her life, Ed Bosscawen. He was in the military and they married on September 6, 1952 in Herrin.October 4, 1955 their first daughter, Paula Jo, was born. Two more daughters would follow, Pamela in August, 1956 (who died in infancy) and Cindy Kay on September 9, 1958.Ed’s military career moved them to various locations before settling in Mesquite in 1969 where Ed worked for the Post Office and Patsy transferred with a magazine she had worked for in Amarillo.Through her life Patsy was employed by a variety of companies, such as a newspaper, the magazine who transferred her, a dentist and two doctors. While at the magazine, Patsy introduced her daughter, Paula to Bill Lambright, still married 45 years later.Patsy was very proud of her two daughters and four grandchildren, Vanessa, Angela, Jon and Josh, three great grandchildren Kaison-7, Cameron-5 and Isabel-17 months.Patsy loved her jobs, doing a variety of crafts, playing bingo, and spending time with her family. Ed and Patsy celebrated 50 years of marriage September 6, 2002 before Ed passed away January 10, 2003.Patsy was reunited with the love of her life on July 28, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.Patsy was preceded in death by her loving husband Ed, daughter Pam, her parents and two brothers.Patsy is survived by her oldest daughter Paula and husband Bill of Mesquite, Cindy of Garfield, Arkansas, grandchildren, Vanessa, Angela and husband Mike, Jon and wife Cassie, Josh and wife Leah, 3 great grandchildren, Kaison, Cameron and Isabel and Patsy’s beloved dog, Bella.Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.Funeral arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, at the intersection of Restland Road and Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972)238-7111.
