Celebrating the Life of Patsy Ruth “Jones” Fain
Patsy Ruth “Jones” Fain, a beacon of love and inspiration, was born on November 12, 1936, in Dallas, TX, to Ellis Jones and Ruth Wilkins. She gracefully departed this world on November 7, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, strength, and boundless love.
Patsy’s journey began in Dallas, where she met her soulmate, Gene Fain, during their high school years. As a spirited member of the drill team, Patsy’s charm and vivacity caught Gene’s eye, sparking a romance that would span 56 beautiful years. Their love story, filled with laughter and unwavering support, continued until Gene’s passing in August 2012.
In the 1950s, Patsy dazzled as a model for Sears, embodying elegance and poise. She shattered glass ceilings in the 1960s, becoming the first female media supervisor at TracyLocke. Patsy’s career soared as she took on the role of Vice President at Point Communications, eventually retiring from The Richards Group in her later years. Her professional journey was marked by trailblazing achievements and a dedication to excellence.
Beyond her career, Patsy had a flair for shopping, finding joy in the little treasures of life. However, her greatest passion was her family. Patsy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene Embree Fain, and her son, Mark Ellis Fain. She is survived by her children, Clint Embree Fain and Dawn Elizabeth Giermann, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Patsy always made time for her family, serving as the heart of the family, a cheerleader, and a counselor, offering open arms and a listening ear to all.
Patsy’s legacy is one of love, wisdom, and unyielding support. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends.
A celebration of Patsy’s remarkable life will be held starting with a visitation beginning at 1 PM on November 21, 2024, at Restland Funeral Home, located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243. The funeral service will begin the same day at 2 PM.
At the conclusion of the service, a continued Celebration of Life will immediately follow at Sparkman Club Estates, located at 3366 Duchess Trail, Dallas, TX 75229.
