Patsy Ruth Moon's Obituary
Patsy Ruth Moon of Richardson, TX went to be with the Lord surrounded by family at the age of 90 on January 23, 2025. Patsy was born at home in Rose Bud, AR on October 30, 1934 to Porter and Fern Parish. Patsy graduated from Rose Bud High School in 1950 and married the love of her life, Robert Edwin Moon, on July 4, 1953. Patsy lived a long, full life as a devoted wife and loving mother to two sons. She was a prayer warrior and is remembered for her faithful prayer for the salvation of everyone she met, especially for the salvation of her beloved family. Patsy was a loyal K-Mart employee for many years before retiring. She was a homemaker, devout Christian, and longstanding member at Northrich Baptist Church. Patsy loved bowling, playing bunco, bingo, and cards, and sewing with her sister, Betty. Patsy was an excellent cook and loved having friends and family over for dinner. No one made lemon ice box pie, chocolate gravy, or hush puppies quite like Patsy. Most of all, she enjoyed music with Robert, who played bass and steel guitar. Patsy is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert Moon, her parents Porter Parish and Fern Brooks Parish, and sister Betty Nelson. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robin Moon of Dallas, TX, Monty Moon and wife Rhonda of Decatur, TX, grandson Tyler Huneycutt, sisters Jackie Stover and Debbie Johnston, and brother Dwain Parish. The family will receive friends on January 27, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home, and a memorial service will be held in her honor on January 28, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Woodland Chapel at Restland. Graveside services will be on January 29, 2025 at 12:00 PM.
