Patti Sue Swiggart's Obituary
SWIGGART (IRBY), PATTI SUE, Born April 29, 1937 to W.G. and Bessie Irby (Sharp) in Winnsboro, TX. Passed away from this life on June 28, 2008 to be with her heavenly father after a 21 month courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Patti retired after 25 plus years with TI. She and her husband, Don recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 30, 2008. Patti was always known as a caring and unselfish person. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond and Harold; and sister, Dortha. Survived by her husband, Don; sons, Jeffrey, Jason and wife Paige; daughter; Debbie and husband Donnie Lenox; 4 grandsons, Brady, Chambers, Harrison, and Preston; sister, Mamie Jo Irby Grice and husband Bud; sister-in-law, Mrs Earlene Irby and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Dr. Robert Coleman and Dr. Carolyn Matthews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to MD Anderson Cancer Institute, Houston, TX. Family will receive friends from 6:00 ‘ 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Restland Memorial Chapel with interment following at Restland Memorial Park.
