Paul Braziller's Obituary
Beloved husband and father passed on to be with his Lord on October 17, 2019. Paul was a special man, always positive, devout in his faith, thankful for each day, and possessed a great sense of humor; these wonderful qualities endeared him to all who knew him.Paul was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Charles and Sarah Braziller. His youth was spent in White Plains, NY. From age 13, Paul worked hard at several jobs to help support his family. At age of 17, Paul eagerly enlisted in the Marines and served in Guam and China during World War II. After discharge, Paul graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University, where he played football, was the sports editor of the school newspaper, and Vice President of his fraternity, TKE. He later graduated from Drake Law School. Paul was married for 29 years to Jane King and they had two daughters, Kim and Sara.Paul had a remarkable career in the insurance field. His enthusiasm and strong work ethic earned the respect of his clients and colleagues and he was recognized as a top reinsurance producer in the country. After his wife Jane passed away, a mutual friend introduced him to Beth Willcockson and they married in 1986. They shared a happy life for 33 years, enjoying the arts, gardening and travel. At age 62, Paul retired from ING (now VOYA) and channeled his energy into volunteer work in his neighborhood, Baylor Plano Hospital, and for 11 years at the Scottish Rite Hospital. He was a generous private donor to individuals, charities and his church. He valiantly fought heart problems that had claimed the lives of his parents and his siblings; Jerry, Sidney and Esther.His presence is keenly missed and cherished memories will comfort his family; wife, Beth, and daughters Kim Doyle (Mark) 5ara Braziller. Stepsons: Bill,Brent and Gregory Willcockson (Selena).Grandchildren: Katy Hullah (Jack), Lani Greene (William), Kara Smith (John), Kendra Willcockson.Great grandchildren: Lillie and Rosie Greene, Katy Beth Smith, Easton Taylor.Memorial service will be held Monday, November 4th at 3 pm at First United Methodist Church of Richardson.Internment will be at DFW National Cemetery.
