Paul Martin Harrelson's Obituary
Paul Martin Harrelson, 91, of Terrell, TX was born on January 26, 1924 in Pickton, TX to Maude and Ben Harrelson, the 10th of 12 children. He graduated from Pickton High school and joined the U.S. Navy in 1942, and honorably served seven years and two tours, World War II on the USS Leonard F. Mason and the Korean War. He worked for Sears Roebuck & Co. for 44 years until his retirement. Paul was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Terrell, Texas, and had been an active member of the United Methodist Men. He was married to the love of his life, Dondina Kimmons Harrelson, for 56 years, until her death in 2010. He was predeceased by his parents and all 11 siblings. He is survived by his son, Kim Harrelson and wife Nita of Ennis, TX, daughter Paula Potcinske and husband Ray of Terrell, TX, grandchildren Corey Harrelson, David Harrelson and wife Cassye of Palestine, TX, Chris Harrelson of Dallas, TX and Virginia Potcinske Hadzic and husband Zlatan of Richardson, TX, and great-grandchildren Makayla and CJ Harrelson of Corsicana, TX and Cayten and Fowler Harrelson of Palestine, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 21, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. The service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, 503 West College St, Terrell, TX 75161. Interment will take place at Restland Memorial Park at 4:30 PM Tuesday, September 22, 2015 following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Terrell, TX or the Pickton Cemetary Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243 at Restland Road.
