Paul Andrew Howard's Obituary
Paul Andrew Howard was born August 31, 1958 in Dallas, Texas, and died of sudden cardiac arrest on July 10, 2019. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and uncle. During and following his attendance at Nacogdoches High School and Stephen F. Austin University, Paul played bass guitar and sang in several rock bands, including the popular Texas-based group Lightning. While working for the Trammell Crow Company in the development of the Dallas Arts District, Paul met his wife of 30 years when he hired her harp ensemble for a noon-fest concert series. Paul worked in the film and television industry for 40 years, bringing sound and lighting to countless projects throughout the world. He was exceptionally creative, talented, and skilled, renovating multiple homes and rebuilding many automobiles, whistling all the while. Paul was an avid fan of the Cowboys, Rangers, and Carroll Dragons. He loved and brought encouragement to his children daily, and was a precious friend to many. Paul is survived by his mother Janelle, brother David, wife Marsanne, daughter Elise, son Landon, and loving aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces. He is preceded in death by his father Eugene, and his brother Jerry. Known for his clever wit and happy spirit, Paul truly brings joy to heaven.Services will take place at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Paul will be in repose in the State Room at Noon on Monday, July 15 through Tuesday, July 16. Visitation will be in the Memorial Chapel on Tuesday evening at 5:00, followed by a Memorial Service at 6:30. Light refreshments will be served.
