Paul Pongsop Kim's Obituary
Paul Pongsop Kim, age 89 passed away on Wednesday April 24, 2024 in Frisco, TX. He was born to Sang Chun Kim and Song Nyo Kim on January 14, 1935, in South Korea. Paul was orphaned at a young age during the Korean war. He joined the Korean Navy and later commissioned as an officer. He married Anne Kim November 14, 1964 in South Korea. Paul was an engineer and manager in the telecommunications industry, and immigrated with his family first to Iran in 1971 and ultimately to the United States in 1978.
Paul is preceded in death by his loving wife Anne and older siblings in South Korea. He is survived by his two sons James Kim and Jin Mo Kim; daughter, Cindy Jang; grandchildren, Jonathan Kim, Thomas Kim, Ethan Kim, Ella Kim, Evelyn Kim, and Chelsea Jang; and younger sister, Soon Sop Kim.
He will be sincerely missed by his loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and cared for him.
