Paul Nguyen's Obituary
Paul Nguyen (Kiet Anh Nguyen), aged 64, passed peacefully on November 7, 2022 with his family by his side.
Paul was born to Mr. Chuong Nguyen and Mrs. Cam Pham on November 21, 1957, in Saigon, Vietnam. He married Holly Nguyen on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1992. He was a mail handler for the US Postal Service for 25 years. Paul loved to travel, enjoyed a variety of foods, and had a passion for BMW. Most important of all, he loved his family, which includes his wife and daughters along with his nieces and nephews. Paul lived a life defined by generosity, simplicity, and hard work. As an example of his generosity, when he received his inheritance, he gave it all away to his nephews without a second thought. In Vietnam, whenever he saw a hard-working street vendor, he would buy the entire inventory from them, so that they could go home early and enjoy time with their family. At home, Paul ensured that his wife and daughters have the highest of quality products, but he was content with worn-out versions, which he would only replace when they are completely unusable or unfixable. He sculpted the American dream for his wife and two daughters by immigrating to the US and moving them from a one-bedroom rental apartment to a beautiful two-story house. He will be dearly missed.
Those who will miss Paul the most include his loving spouse of 30 years, Holly Nguyen, his two daughters, Vy and Nita Nguyen, his eldest sister, Huyen Thi Nguyen, his elder brother, Tuong Kim Nguyen, his younger sisters, Quyen Thi Nguyen and Thu Huong Thi Nguyen, a plethora of nieces and nephews, and his friends.
Visitation for Paul will be Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM & Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. A Service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
Paul donated annually to March for Dimes, which is an organization dedicated to the health of mothers and babies. Thus, he would prefer any money that you would like to spend on flowers or tributes to be donated to March for Dimes (www.marchofdimes.org). Paul will rest at his chosen Buddhist temple, Chùa Đạo Quang, so in-person donations may be directed to this temple (www.daoquang.org).
