Paul M. Ortiz Jr,'s Obituary
Paul M. Ortiz Jr., 74, died Saturday, August 17, 2013, in Mesquite. Mr. Ortiz was born Jan. 27, 1939, in Dallas. He worked as a foreman/truck driver for 54 years at Office Equipment Company until his retirement in 2011. Paul enjoyed buying and selling rental property. Apart from his career, he was a dedicated family man. He had a special place in his heart for all his grandchildren and beamed at just the sight of them. Always a great gamer, he loved playing pool, checkers, chess, always loved being on his computer, plus fishing, and traveling in his RV with his wife of 52 years Armenia and without a doubt is one of the biggest fans of the Dallas Cowboys. Paul is preceded in death by his mother, Theresa M. Ortiz and father, Leopoldo Ortiz Sr. He is survived by his wife, Armenia Vera Ortiz; son, Leopoldo Ortiz III and wife, Josefina of Mesquite, TX; daughter, Linda Sparks and husband, Art of Little Elm, TX; six grandchildren, Arthur, Alyssa, Erica, Leopoldo Ortiz IV, Karina and Katrina; and numerous other relatives. Rosary will be at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
