Paula Lee Hibbs' Obituary
Hibbs, Paula Lee, 64, of Fishers, IN, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Kindred Health Care of Castleton. She was born July 10, 1949 at Fort Sam Houston Hospital, San Antonio, TX, the daughter of Lee Eldon and Pauline (Roberts) Wright. She was married to Clifford Wayne Hibbs in Port Arthur, TX, August 4, 1973 and for all time and eternity in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Temple in Mesa, AZ, December 21, 1976. Paula is survived by her husband of 40 years; and four children, Christopher Wayne (Amy) of Simpsonville, SC; Leslie Michael of Bryan, TX; Andrew Patrick (Mary) of Allen, TX, and Nathan Ted of Fishers, IN; grandchildren, Emily, Caleb, Abigail and Julia. She is also survived by her mother, Pauline; brothers, Wesley and Michael, all of Houston, TX. Special notice is given to her loving service dog of 10 years, Faith. While raising four children with her husband, she served for nine years (1994-2003) as Vice President and trustee of the Richardson Texas Independent School District Board of Education. Paula also served with the Houston and Dallas Texas Down Syndrome Guilds. She was active in the LDS Church where she served as Primary President, Gospel Doctrine Instructor and numerous other callings. Service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Meandering Way Chapel, with visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.
