Pauline Chase's Obituary
Pauline Chase, 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2019, in Richardson, TX surrounded by her loving family. Pauline Chase was born on May 15, 1949, in Forney, Tx. She was preceded in death by her parents, Queen Esther James, mother and Roy James, father, and her sister, Rosemary Easley. She graduated from Forney High School in 1966. Later, she attended Richland College, Dallas Texas.Pauline came to know Jesus Christ at an early age. She joined the Little Flock Baptist Church (Elder Bonner) in Forney, TX, as a child. She joined the First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park in 1969. She was a faithful member, and has served as the first President of the Sanctuary Choir, Breakfast Committee, Women’s Ministry, Sunday school, and the Communion Board. She loved her church.Pauline enjoyed her family, more than anything in life! She enjoyed cooking Sunday meals, celebrating all birthdays, cake, candles, and all. She loved family gatherings, Thanksgiving and especially Christmas, as we all enjoyed her world famous dressing! She never missed an opportunity to celebrate and host events, making sure that all were welcomed into her home. She had a special gift of ‘giving’ of herself. She had a special way of making sure that you knew you were loved, and never judged. Pauline loved her gardens. She was very meticulous with her presentation, making sure that each and every row was in line. She could spend countless hours planting and pruning, always with her large, straw hats. If you knew her, you know that she did love her hats!After graduation from high school, Pauline eventually moved to Dallas, TX, where she worked in a dress shop and H.L. Green, downtown Dallas. Soon after, she met the love of her life, Norris Chase. On July 29, 1969, Pastor J. Lee Foster married Norris and Pauline, and this union has lasted throughout the next 50 years! She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. More than anything in the world she loved her entire family.Pauline began a career at Texas Instruments, in Dallas TX, in 1968. She held many title within the years at Texas Instruments, including CLAB Operations Supervisor, and CLAB SWR Project Coordinator. She worked at Texas Instruments for nearly 48 years, retiring in December, 2016. She enjoyed working with many employees, but she particularly enjoyed supervising, people skills, and personal mentoring. During the years at Texas instruments, she received many awards and accolades. She was loved by many, and was celebrated with a beautiful retirement event.Pauline is survived by her husband, Norris F. Chase, (3) children, Gina Rhoshawn Chase Henderson, Carmela Wysone Chase, Jeremy Demond Chase (Jennifer), (5) grandchildren, Jessica Morgan (Allen), Adem Chase, Alyssa Chase, Zachary Fininen, Trey Henderson, (3) great grandchildren, Aaliyah Morgan, Mariah Morgan, Tayden Morgan, (2) God children, Ricky Hoyle, Sydney Hoyle, special sister/friends, Hattie Russell, Linda Daniels, Diane Frazier, and Barbara Jean Crutcher, sons in-love, James Poole and Ezzeral Fininen, a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, loved ones, and friends.Funeral service will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Hamilton Park Baptist Church, a visitation for Pauline Chase will be held on October 3, 2019 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home.Funeral arrangements for Pauline Chase have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
