Martin-Herian, Pauline's Obituary
Pauline Martin-Herian, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on July 31, 2025, in The Colony, Texas. Born on December 10, 1947, in Bloomington, Minnesota, to Ori and Rose Carpenter, Pauline lived a life marked by strength, compassion, and quiet brilliance.
A highly respected leader in the corporate world, Pauline built a successful career at Electronic Data Systems (EDS), where she rose to a high-level management position. Her sharp mind, integrity, and professionalism earned her the respect of colleagues across the globe, and her work gave her the opportunity to travel the world—experiences she treasured.
Outside of her professional life, Pauline dedicated herself to animal welfare, especially through her work with DFW Sheltie Rescue. She fostered countless dogs, organized charity events, and helped connect many families with their beloved furry companions. Her commitment created lifelong bonds between people and pets and brought joy to so many.
In her personal time, Pauline loved exploring the virtual world of Guild Wars. The game was more than a pastime—it was a place where she embarked on epic quests, tackled challenges with determination, and found joy in a unique kind of adventure.
Though she wasn’t the family baker herself, she cherished the tradition of cold water buns lovingly made by her sister—a recipe that brought warmth and nostalgia to family gatherings.
Pauline was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Herian, with whom she is now reunited. She is survived by her sister Nancy Haas, niece Deanne Haas, great-niece Dallas Haas, great-nephew Dakota Haas, and niece Deanette Haas—all of whom will carry her memory forward with love, gratitude, and pride.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched—both human and canine—and in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Pauline’s story continues in every rescued pup, every family she helped unite, and every life she touched.
