Peggy Joyce Akins' Obituary
Forever in our hearts, Peggy Joyce Akins of Garland, Texas. Peggy was born in Paris, Texas to Cecil and Edina Stevens. She passed away in her sleep June 22nd, 2026, at the age of 80. She lived her life alongside her husband, Richard, who preceded her in February. She cared for her brother-in-law Robert, who preceded her in October. Peggy raised and cared for her family, traveled the world with Richard, loved her grandchildren, loved good chocolate, and loved Country & Western music. She was known for her quick wit and her warm smile. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued. Her kindness and generosity touched many lives. She is survived by children Steven, Matthew, Mai, and Lysa; her brother Bruce; and her grandchildren J & J, A & T, and S. Peggy is laid to rest in Restland Cemetery.
