Peggy Crunk's Obituary
Peggy Ann Ready Crunk, 84, of Ivanhoe, Texas, departed this Earth headed for her heavenly home on March 28, 2018. Her firm belief in her Lord Jesus Christ, and her devotion to her church, her family and her friends gave us all the peace and comfort to know that she is rejoicing and celebrating with her family in Heaven.Peggy was born to the late Jim Ready and Pearl Cowart Ready on March 9, 1934 in Sanger, Texas. She was immersed in the community that would be her first love and her support throughout her life. Peggy graduated from Sanger High School in 1951 as a cheerleader and member of the pep squad.Peggy was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend, George William Crunk, on November 15, 1951, in Sanger, Texas. Peggy and George raised their three children with patience, discipline and humility. They loved to travel and took many long family trips to see the natural beauty of many states across America and even into Canada. If there was an opportunity for a trip, she was ready to go. Vacations in Fun Valley, Colorado were a summer ritual with her late sister Ethelyn and her husband Tom for many, many years.Peggy began working in school food service and eventually became manager of the Dartmouth Elementary School cafeteria in Richardson, Texas. After retiring from the school district, Peggy went to work for the Minirth-Meier Clinic where she was blessed to be surrounded by many good Christian ladies that would be friends forever.Peggy is survived by her husband, George; her son George William Crunk, Jr. and his wife Karren of Ladonia, Texas; daughter Lisbeth Ann Wilson and her husband Mike of Sherman, Texas; and Ethelyn Eaves and her husband Brian of Ivanhoe, Texas. Her legacy leaves behind six grandchildren: Timothy Wuest, Stacy Poole, Melanie Biggers, Wesley Crunk, Andrea Cory and Trevor Eaves; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and countless “adopted” nieces, nephews and church children that she thought of as her own. She was always blessed when she attended their birthday parties, graduations, showers or events. The celebration of Peggy’s life will take place on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Telephone Baptist Church in Telephone, Texas.
