Peggy Jane Ferguson's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Peggy Jane Scott Ferguson, Born in Lovelady, TX May 3rd 1934 We celebrate the life of Peggy who was respected, admired and loved. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. Peggy graduated from Crockett, TX. High school where she was a cheerleader and baton twirler. She competed in twirling competitions around the State where she won State Champion and many other awards. She then went to college at SMU on a scholarship where she earned her degree in Secretarial Science. She was a featured twirler with the SMU Band and a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Reed Wilson Ferguson Jr. and moved to Huntsville, TX. where Reed completed his education at Sam Houston State. After Reed’s graduation, they moved to Richardson, TX. and both took jobs at Texas Instruments. They began a family and had two children, Steven and Marla. Peggy then went to work at Arnold Barnes Associates which became ABA Moriah Corporation where she worked for 35 years and retired as a Senior Vice President. Peggy was a hard worker, organized and dedicated to her job and family. She loved spending time at the lake and beach, fishing and sunbathing, going hunting, playing golf, going to Vegas, the Horse races and enjoying time with her family at their ranch in Crockett, TX. She will be missed by many, especially her husband, Reed, her children, Steven and Marla, her son in law, Brad and her grandchildren Haley, Abbey, Nicholas and son in law, Jon. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. The service for Peggy Ferguson will be held at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association.
