Ms. Peggy Yvonne Headen's Obituary
Peggy Yvonne Headen born in Renner, Texas on December 30, 1931 passed away unexpectedly on February 20, 2023 in Denton, Texas at the age of 91.
She is survived and cherished by oldest daughter, Teri Johnson and her husband James, and youngest daughter, Karol Shelton. Forever missed and remembered by 2 grandsons, Shane Collins and his wife Amanda, and Colton Shelton and his wife Jenee. Her memory lives on with 5 great-grandchildren, Miles, Charlotte, and Wyatt Collins; and Ryan and Landon Shelton. Peggy also is survived by her sister, Betty Spearman and her husband Dean, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Peggy met her husband, John Headen, at a Young Life church event and they married on June 4, 1954. They lived a happy life together for 67 years and many of those years they traveled all over America driving a 'big rig' as a team. Dad called her Sugar Bear.
Her legacy will carry on forever reminding us that we choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us. Peggy was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She touched the lives of so many people and will truly be missed and never, ever forgotten.
