Peggy Ann Horn's Obituary
Peggy Ann Rippeth Horn of Richardson, TX, passed away on July 1, 2020. Peggy was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on April 29, 1932. She lived in Chillicothe until 1956, when the love of her life, her husband, David Horn, convinced her to move to Texas. Her first sight of Texas was a bus station in McKinney, TX, where they stopped for coffee. Sadly, Peggy was not at all impressed with Texas. In 1959, Peggy & David moved to Richardson, TX, where she was a lifelong Richardson resident. Peggy was a lifelong member of FUMCR for 61 years, enjoyed being a part of the Red Hat Ladies, volunteering at the Women’s Center, and singing with the FUMC choir. She also grew to love Texas. Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Michael Theobald, and her husband, David, Brother-in-Laws Fritz Schrader and Charles Barker. She is survived by her son, Walter Horn, (LeeAnn) and daughter Jackie Durrett, (Doug), her siblings, Shirley Schrader, Sandra Barker, Connie Huhman, Marcia Cox (Jerry), and Alan Rippeth (Brenda) along with four grandchildren, Max Kurtz (Lezlie), Aaron Durrett, Marci Horn Skotnicki (John), and Matthew Horn (Collin Kallery), and four great grandchildren, Zane Kurtz, Olivia Kurtz, Jeska Kurtz and Cam Durrett.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the First United Methodist Church Richardson Church Choir, 503 N Central Expy. Richardson, TX 75080.
