Peggy Lorice Howe's Obituary
Peggy Lorice Howe, 88, of Rowlett, Texas passed away on January 19, 2021 in Rowlett, Texas. She was born on October 25, 1932 to Printice "Nick" Smith and Lorice Sibert Smith in Dallas, Texas. Peggy was born and raised in Dallas and graduated from Forest Avenue High School in January 1950. She married Jim Anderson in 1950, and together they had 3 children. She worked at Metropolitan Life before her children were born, and worked part time once they were in school. She remarried in 1970 to Raymond Howe and the family moved to Rowlett in 1973. Peggy learned how to play piano at a young age and later learned the organ. She was employed as a church organist for various Lutheran churches in the area for over 60 years. Her greatest joys were her family, quilting and making music for the Lord. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Johnson; sons, Stephen Anderson (Jill), and Scott Anderson; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Howe.
