Peggy Sue Murray's Obituary
Peggy Murray was born on June 10, 1931 in Garland, Texas and went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 22, 2014 in Richardson, Texas. She graduated from Garland High School in 1949. Peggy was an avid quilter and was a member of numerous quilting clubs. She was a charter member of the Northside Baptist Church where she was a devout follower of Jesus Christ. Peggy retired from Garland Independent School District and was a loving wife of 65 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, H.B. and Valice Poovey and brothers, Donald and Jerry. Peggy is survived by her husband, Arthur Lewis Murray; daughter, Ruthie Riley and husband, Terry; son, Mark L. Murray; grandsons, John Russell Gaston and Daniel Lewis Murray; great-granddaughter, Adalynn J. Murray; sisters, Marsha B. Musgrave and husband, Mike and Betty Ivey; brothers, Paul Poovey and wife, Susan, Lynn Poovey and wife, Patty and many nieces and nephews. The family of Peggy will receive friends on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service for Peggy will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Northside Baptist Church, 2510 N. Glenbrook, Garland, Texas 75040. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75238.
