Peggy Flo Schaub's Obituary
Peggy Flo Schaub, beloved mother and grandmother, was born June 16, 1924 in Plano, Texas, to Ben Lewis Massey and Bessie Irene Massey and passed away February 23, 2015, at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Schaub and her brother Robert M. Massey and his wife Lisa Massey of Dallas. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Isom and son-in-law, Pat Isom and daughter, Susan Eggleston and son-in-law, Bruce Eggleston. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Sean Isom, Amy and April Eggleston, and several nephews and nieces. Peggy was a graduate of Richardson High School and Draughans’ Business College. Peggy moved to New York City and worked for a large corporation on Park Avenue. She married in 1948 in Richardson and moved to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania for several years, then back to Richardson, Texas. She worked for Traders and General Insurance in Dallas for many years until it closed. She then worked for Travelers Insurance until she retired. Peggy was recently honored as the longest living member of First United Methodist Church of Richardson, Texas. She served on the Older Adult Council and The Gathering seniors’ organization, Disciple Bible Study and other volunteer activities until her health no longer permitted her doing so. Peggy moved to Collin Oaks assisted living community in Plano, Texas almost 11 years ago, where she participated in many activities and made new friends among the staff, volunteers and residents. Much appreciation goes out to her old friends and new and the wonderful staff at Collin Oaks who took care of her through her final years. She loved life and made the most of it even through physical infirmities that would have kept many people down. We love you, Mother! May you rest in peace! The Visitation for Peggy will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. The service for Peggy Schaub will be Friday, February 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in Richardson. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243. Donations may be made in remembrance to the First United Methodist Church building fund or the charity of your choice.
