Peggy Ann Wamble's Obituary
Margaret Ann “Peg” Wamble passed on October 21, 2020 in her daughter’s home in Lucas, Texas. She was born on June 5, 1931 in Queens, Long Island to Joseph Vincent Dorgan and Margaret Geoghegan. She had one sister Mary Isobel Dorgan. She lived in Bayside, Long Island until the family moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1951. She met her first husband, Paul A. Beckmann Jr. while she was working at Southwest Research Institute. They had two children together, Paul A. “Skip” Beckmann III and Brenda Anne Rizos. Peg moved with Paul as he pursued various jobs as an engineer in Abilene, Texas, then Baton Rouge, Louisiana, followed by Amarillo, Odessa, and finally Dallas, Texas. She divorced after 23 years of marriage with Paul. She married her second husband Claude Everett “Ev” Wamble in 1980. They shared 22 very happy years together until Ev passed away in May 2002. Peg never remarried after his death. Peg was a very happy person who had a true passion for life. She loved being with people and cherished her friendships, some of which spanned eight decades. Her cheerful disposition and optimism always brightened the day of anyone she was with. She will be missed by all her friends and family. She is survived by her two children Brenda Rizos and Skip Beckmann, her seven grandchildren Megan Bahrenburg, Ryan Rizos, Kyle Rizos, Jessica McSweegan, Richard Garcia, Veronica Beckmann, and Adrian Beckmann , and her three great grandchildren Eleanor Bahrenburg, John Ryan Rizos, and Aidan McSweegan.
Funeral Mass will be Monday, October 26, 2020 at 10am at St. Marks Catholic Church in Plano, TX. Graveside service at noon at Restland Funeral Home, Dallas TX.
