She loved God, her family, her home (3111), traveling, learning, entertaining (including eating), and playing bridge (duplicate of course). Her life reflected that love in her active daily life. She was involved. She was at church wherever she and Julian lived. She taught children and adults from the time she was 16 until 97. For over 40 years she was active at Royal Haven Baptist Church. She loved Farmer’s Branch and was a member the Farmer’s Branch Women’s club, Book Club, Bridge clubs, gormet clubs (she loved to eat too) historical societies. Duplicate bridge was on her schedule weekly. She and Julian always traveled together from the time they married and was a member of Gadabouts, Good Sam Travel Club, and Heart of Texas Winnies. After Julian passed she traveled with Nancy. She and Nancy cruised and made it to South America, the last continent on her list, in October 2015. She was charitable. She gave of her time and money to her church, missions, Special Olympics, Samaritan’s purse, St. Jude Children’s Hospital and other charities. She was creative. She sewed clothes for her children. She made crafts with Farmer’s Branch Women’s Club and Gadabout friends, table decorations for church and Women’s Club activities. The necklaces, quilts, Swedish embroidery blankets, and decorated shirts have been admired by the recipients of those gifts. She was humorous. Perle’s Girls Sunday school class not only received lessons from the Bible but also a joke. In her home in Cedar Park, she became known as the “Queen of the one liners”. All in all Perle was a gift. She was an example of the Proverbs wife for us. Proverbs 31:31 “Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gates.” Service will be at 3pm, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home in the Abbey Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 2pm. Interment will be at Restland Memorial Park in the garden of Veterans II. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
