Perry Lloyd Compton's Obituary
Perry Lloyd Compton was born on October 2, 1947 in Terrell, Texas to the late Bill Compton and Elaine Wallace. Perry joined the Coast Guard February 1966 and served two tours in Vietnam. He was Honorably Discharged in 1970. In 1971, Perry and Cathy were married and the years that followed brought Jason Compton June 1972 (died July 1972), Perry loved to communicate with other HAM radio operators. He loved puzzles and games as hobbies. His thirst for information was never satisfied as he studied on everything. He worked in telecommunication for 35 years and retired with AT&T in Colorado. He and Cathy moved back to their home state, Texas, to be closer to family. Perry is survived by his wife; Cathy Compton, son; Jeremy Compton (Crystal), daughter; Janis Alba (Ricardo), grandchildren; Alyssa, Angelica, Adriana, Antoinette, and Antonio, greatgrandchildren; Rebecca, Henry and Raelyn, sister; Sharron Hamrick (Ronnie), nephews; James, Chris and Scotty, Mother-in-law; Wynell Cockrill, sister-in-law; Ginny Hawley (Kieth) and nephews; Clayton Hawley and the late Marty Hawley.
