Perry Eugene Francis' Obituary
Perry E. (Gene) Francis, born in 1934, in Fort Worth, Texas, died in Plano, Texas, on September 16, 2023, at the age of 89. He is survived by his son Perry E. Francis, Jr., (Eden), grandson Perry Reed of Sherwood, Oregon; brother Dan Francis (Robbie) of Granbury, Texas; stepchildren Paul Horne (Theresa) of Springfield, Illinois; Patty Cash Parkerson (Bill) of Yorktown, Virginia; Kathryn Persons of Yorktown, Virgina; Robert Horne (Dawn) of Royse City, Texas. He also leaves behind six other grandchildren (Alyson, Matthew, and Kayla Horne; Carol Persons; Robin and Robert Horne Jr.) and two great-grandchildren (Ethan and Jordan Cash).
He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 30 years, Nedra Francis, whom he met at the First United Methodist Church, Richardson; sisters Norma Bachschmid, Joan Hunt and brother Larry Francis.
Gene was active in finance and personnel work and was employed by companies and organizations such as Texas Instruments, SMU, Deloitte Haskins & Sells, and the IRS. He attended First United Methodist Church, Richardson, Texas, for over 50 years being active in many church activities.
Graveside services will be held at Restland Cemetery (13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX) on Friday, November 10th at 9:30 AM with an after gathering at First United Methodist Church, Richardson (503 N Central Expy, Richardson, TX).
