Peter "Michael" Moore's Obituary
Michael was born on Oklahoma City, OK and adopted by Jim and Mary Moore in 1956. His early years were spent in Tulsa, OK with his older borther David and his younger sister Nancy. They moved to Dallas in March 1965. Mike is survived by his wife, Karen Moore; daughter, Sara McKee (Adam); daughter, Tiffany Hauser (shane); and mother, Mary Moore. Mike attended and graduated from Lake Highland HS in 1974. He continued his education by pursuing a degree in architecture which was a life long love of his. Michael was good at many different jobs. He was creative and enjoyed working as a mechanic, salesman, wood worker, fence builder. At one point he owned his own glass and mirror company, even creating stain glass overlays on windows. Whatever he did, he did well and he was happiest when he was being creative. Michael also loved to cook. A recipe wasn’t needed except as a starting point. Mike married Karen on May 25, 1984. Their 31 years of marriage were a roller coaster but they used humor to move beyond Mike’s health issues. They had two children, Tiffany and Sara. The girls were his most special blessing. Mike spent a lot of time at Baylor University Medical. He was grateful for the medical miracles that God blessed him with during his life. Michael will be missed by his mom, Mary Moore, his sister, Nancy, and his daughters Tiffany and Sara and several grandchildren, Christian, Izzia, Brooklyn, and Harvey. “O God and Heavenly Father, Grant to us the serenity of mind to accept that which cannot be changed; courage to change that which can be changed, and wisdom to know the one from the other, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.” Memorial service for Mike will be held at 10:00am Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Lake Highlands United Methodist Church Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Restland Memorial Park, Court of Freedom. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243 at Restland Road.
