Peter Anthony Politano Jr.'s Obituary
PETER POLITANO, JR. passed away peacefully earlier today at the Richardson Methodist Hospital here in the Dallas area. He lived a long and productive life to a milestone age of 92 years old. Born in the New York City area hamlet of Inwood, New York, Peter was one of the last surviving members of his generation of the New YorK branch of the Italian Politano family. He had also served in the Air Force and was discharged as 1st Lieutenant rank.
Peter was a passionate sports fan, devoted to the Yankees, Mets, and later the Dallas Cowboys. An avid golf player during his years in New York, he brought that same love for the game with him when he moved to Dallas later in life. A true Sinatra enthusiast, Peter appreciated the timeless charm of “Ol’ Blue Eyes.” He had a deep love for Italian, Mexican, and seafood cuisine, and enjoyed diving into murder mystery novels. His life was rich with culture, flavor, and curiosity.
Peter is survived by his loyal wife, Tensie Politano, his brother Anthony, son, Robert, son, David and his wife Liz, grand-daughter, Monica and her husband Jeremy, grandson, Tony, 4 Great Grandchildren and many extended family members here in the Dallas area, in New York City, on Long Island and in Florida and California.
"We are going to miss you Dad for your always fun-loving attitude, your crazy sense of humor and for being the Rock in our family who was always there for many of us in the family including myself, in times of need when we needed help. While my dad and I didn’t always agree on certain life topics and controversial issues as Father and Son, his heart was always in the right place, and it was his big heart that was the last to go when he passed.
RIP in paradise Dad, the most beautiful place in all of creation. We will always love you with all of our hearts and until we meet again, may you REST IN PEACE and may GOD BLESS your spirit and your soul."
