Peter Terilli's Obituary
Peter Terilli passed peacefully January 13, 2008 with family and friends by his side. Peter lived the American dream, he was a great American. Born in Utica, N.Y. Peter, of immigrant parents, lived most of his childhood in Esperia, Italy. Peter spent early adulthood in New York City with his brothers and sisters. He joined the U.S. Airforce in 1943. While he was in the service, stationed in Scottsdale, Arizona, he met his wife of 65 years, Vada Murr. Together they owned and operated Murr Bros. Electric Co. in Dallas, which became very successful and gained respect from the business public and many peers and associates. Peter was a member of the the Dallas Council 799 of the Knights of Columbus and was recognized for his outstanding services to council in 1966. Peter loved God, his family, his special friends, Italian opera, cooking, travel, and especially, golfing. Peter and Vada, together, did live the American dream; freedom, liberty, service to God, service to the country, service to the community, love of family, success and many other blessings. Peter is preceded in death by his parents, Luigi and Philomena. His brothers Michael, Joseph, and Anthony and by his sister Amelia. Peter is survived by his loving wife, Vada, his sister Maria, his loving children, Jim, Jeannie, Michael and Joey, his loving grandchildren, Amanda, Peter, Matthew, GiGi, Emily, John, Laura, Lucas and great grandchild, Avery. Peter was a great shepherd and family leader, always placing God and family first. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, January 17, 2008, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas. A Rosary will be held on Wed, January 16, 2008 at 7:00pm at Restland Funeral Home in the Wildwood Chapel.
