Philip C. Catagnus, Jr.'s Obituary
Philip C. Catagnus, Jr. passed away November 27, 2018 leaving a legacy of love and service to family, friends, and the biking community.He was born on December 24, 1942 in Norristown, Pennsylvania to Philip C. Catagnus, Sr. and Catherine Testa Catagnus. He graduated from Bishop Kenrick High School in 1960, and Villanova University in 1964. Philip received a masters of science from the University of Massachusetts in 1966. He married the love of his life, Patricia Abbott, in 1967.In 1971, Phil and Patti moved to Dallas where Phil worked at Texas Instruments in the semi conductor division for 10 years. Phil formed his own company in 1984, Valquest Systems, Inc., where he was President and CEO to this day.Phil is survived by his wife of 51 1/2 years; 2 children, Philip Catagnus and wife Karen; and Stephanie Raffety-Wilson and husband Troy; brother, James and wife Joan of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania; and sister, Linda Luzi and husband Armando of Norristown, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by six grandsons; five of whom he raised, Philip Joseph Catagnus, Payton Abbott Catagnus, Parker Kye Catagnus, Preston Anthony Catagnus, Paul James Catagnus, and Jacob Aldan Raffety. Phil is survived by three nieces in Pennsylvania; and loyal employees of 30 years.Visitation will be held on Friday, November 30, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
