Brown, Phillip Wayne's Obituary
Phillip “Wayne” Brown, 81, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Eileen Brown, and brother, Steve Brown. Wayne is survived by his daughter, Ashley Brown and many nephews, aunts and cousins. He was born in Dallas, Texas on October 4, 1943. His family moved to Richardson in 1956 and he attended Richardson High School. Wayne was a sergeant in the US Marine Corps and served his country honorably from 1963 to 1966 and a tour in Vietnam. He attended El Centro College where he obtained an Associates in Applied Arts and Sciences, and also graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1977 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. In 1971, he completed the Dallas Fire Department training and after 30 years, retired as a lieutenant. He loved his job and never forgot the guys that he worked with all those years. Wayne enjoyed supporting the Texas Longhorns football team, golfing with his buddies and playing bingo. He also enjoyed dining out and catching up with friends and family, but treasured his dinner dates with his daughter.
