We celebrate the beautiful life of Phillip Cary “Phil” McSwain, a devoted family man who shared warmth and steadiness with everyone he met. Phil’s peaceful passing on January 28, 2026 in Plano, Texas leaves family and friends with countless bright memories to carry forward.
Phil was born on February 21, 1957 in Houston, Texas to Agnes Bryant McSwain and Maurice “Mac” McSwain. He forged a remarkable 40-plus-year career in the equipment business, earning respect for his extraordinary service and retiring with a sense of pride in work well done.
Known as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, Phil’s life centered on caring for those around him. His steady presence and easy generosity strengthened every family gathering and friendship.
A service honoring Phil will be held on Friday, June 12 at 10:30 a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Restland Funeral Home. All who shared in his life are invited to come together in thanks for his many good years.
In keeping with Phil’s giving spirit, memorial donations may be made to Scottish Rite Hospital or a charity of your choice. By supporting others, we continue the kindness that defined Phil’s well-lived life.
