Phyllis Ruth Arak's Obituary
Arak, Phyllis, Ruth, age 84, of Dallas, Texas formerly of Florida and New Jersey, passed away peacefully on 1/29/2012 at Walnut Place, Dallas TX. She was born on 10/6/1927 in Jersey City, New Jersey to her parents, Irving and Molly. Phyllis was the youngest of 3 children. She married Daniel in New York City on 02/29/1948. They had 3 children. She was a resident of Dallas, Texas for 6 years. Phyllis was a life time member of Hadassah, Brandeis, the Sisterhood – Temple Ahavat Shalom, life time member of the Sisterhood – Temple Beth Abraham, and past president of the Pinellas Park FL Chapter. She enjoyed playing mah jong and spending time with her family and friends.. Phyllis will be remembered by her loving husband and their children Mark and Phyllis Arak of Orlando FL, Charles and Marilyn Arak of Cresskill NJ, Jane and Bobby Boyett of Plano TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren Josh, Justin, Brennan, Shelby, Jake and Lauren, her nephew Mitchell and neices Maureen and Randy. Predeceased in death by her brother Eddie, her sister Shirley and brother in law Frank. Graveside services are 2:00pm Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made to Hadassah in Phyllis’s name.
