Phyllis Elaine McReynolds' Obituary
Elaine Harrison McReynolds was born September 12, 1935 in Alpine, Texas. She died on May 12, 2018. Her parents were Elden and Una McKinney Harrison. She graduated from McCamey High School in 1954. She married Robert McReynolds, a geophysicist, on September 28, 1957. They moved to Dallas in 1960. Elaine received a BBA and an MBA from NTSU, now UNT. She was a CPA and Controller of several corporations. She retired in 2007. Robert died February 19, 2017 at the age of eighty-nine. They were married fifty-nine years.Elaine held a pilot’s license, was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She traveled to 28 countries and 28 states. She was an avid genealogist and wrote books about her family.Survivors include her daughter, Tracy Hancock, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, a brother Clayton Harrison, and a sister Beverly Harrison Overby. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son Kerry McReynolds.A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Wildwood Chapel, Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave. in Dallas.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
