Pola Foster Dean's Obituary
On June 29, 2009, our precious Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin, and dear friend Pola Foster Dean broke the bonds of earth and went into the ever-lasting arms of her Lord and Savior. Pola was the adored daughter of Harry K. and Mollie Adams Foster. She was a “Daddy’s Girl” who took after her beloved father, Harry Foster, an immigrant from the island of Cyprus. Pola mirrored the passion for life she observed in her Greek aunts, uncles, and cousins who immigrated to the U.S. Love and laughter were her trademarks, with culinary arts close behind. She was blessed with wisdom and an unwavering faith. Pola will be remembered for her compassion, her strength of character, and her marvelous sense of humor. Pola was preceded in death by her husband, Robert James (Bob) Dean and her brother Paul Foster. She is survived by her daughters, Holly Dedmon (Jim) and Suzanne Letch (Jerry) and grandchildren Matthew McSpadden, Molly Leiker (Jason), Andrew McSpadden, Cam Letch, and Craig Letch (Jennifer). Great Grandchildren are Nicholas McSpadden, Cole Leiker, Aden Letch, Lawson Letch, Maya Letch, and August Letch. Cousins include Fred Foster (Marsha), Linda Sarris (Arthur), and Debbie Ferguson (Greg). Nieces and nephews: Sharon Foster, Tracy Foster (grandnephew, Alexander), Gregory Foster, Carol Kyler, Patricia Dean Ray (Carl), Jeanette Dean Davis (Don), ;and Mark Dean (Ladohn). Honorary pallbearers include Billy Bonds, Paul Humphries, Byron Johnson, Larry Newman, and Chuck Roden. There will be a visitation Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be at Wildwood Chapel on Thursday at 12:30 p. m. followed by a graveside service.
