Pompeya Reyes' Obituary
Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do His bidding, who obey His word. – Psalm 103:20 On July 22, 2016 our Heavenly Father gave Pompeya Reyes her angel wings and called her into His Kingdom at the age of 94. She had a peaceful passing and during her final days, she was surrounded with much love from her family and friends in her home in Richardson, TX. She was born April 10, 1922 as the youngest child of 14 to Juan Fajardo and the only child to Soccoro B. Fajardo. She married Francisco Reyes on October 3, 1943, and they were together for over 50 years. They dedicated their lives to raising 7 children, and enjoyed spending time with their family and traveling as a couple. She was an amazing, God fearing woman who had a zest for life. She also had a talent for music and loved to play the piano as well as sing. She spent her later years continuing to maintain strength in her faith in God through dedication to prayer and following in the footsteps of Christ. She was a loving woman, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her 7 children and their spouses: Rica Lapid, Peachy Gamboa and husband Joel, Joji Angustia and husband Hamlin, Chito Reyes and wife Norma, Lala Shrem and husband Mitchell, Pet Thedford, Paulette Garcia and husband Jerry, 21 grandchildren and their spouses, and 42 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Reyes, and grandson, Joey Garcia. Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Restland Memorial Park Cemetery Dr., Dallas, TX 75243. “Until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of His hand.” – Irish Prayer. Family will also receive friends on Monday, July 25, 2016 from 4-8:30 PM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with a Rosary starting at 7 PM. Services will be held on July 26, 2016 beginning at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church 600 N. Jupiter Road, Richardson, TX 75081. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
