As I was searching for pictures of Preston last night, I was reminded of how much time we spent together when he was younger. We were together almost every weekend. Preston and Aaron and my son were inseparable. I can remember one day when I actually had to literally drag Kevin home kicking and screaming because he didn't want to stop playing with them. Playtime never seemed long enough. Irene and I had so many good times with the boys. They all just loved doing what boys do best ' playing in the creek, getting all muddy, going to the park, riding bikes, fishing in the duck pond, etc. I really miss those times and am thankful that we were able to have the time together that we did have. Preston and Aaron were like brothers to my son and they were like sons to me. We had several great trips together that I know all the boys will remember for a very long time. Our group trip to Wimberley went down in their memory as the best time of their life. They talked about it for years. What could be better than going on vacation with all your best buddies to a really cool place. Our trips to Turner Falls were always a great time. Preston was right in his element. Being the oldest of the group, he lead and the boys followed. It was always such a pleasure to watch the boys go exploring. Just nature, no video games, no television, no toys. It brought back memories of how just the simple things in life are often the best. I always thought Preston was special. He was always the first one to offer to help. He had a very generous spirit and would share whatever he had with everyone. As I was looking through the pictures I have of Preston, I realized what a happy child he was. He always had a big grin on his face' although sometimes it looked like a rather mischievous one! I will always have a special place in my heart for Preston and the role in played in our lives. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
