Priscila Mabansag Ampil's Obituary
Priscila Mabansag Ampil, of Dallas, Texas, went to be with our Lord on December 21, 2023. She passed quietly in her sleep.
Priscila was born June 11, 1933 in the Philippines and was married to the love of her life, Dr. Jose Peralta Ampil in March of 1963, who preceded her in death on February 15, 2022.
They are survived by their three children: Bonnie Ampil Ivey, James Robert Ampil, and John Paul Ampil. She was also a loving Lola to six grandchildren: Laura Eads, Nathan Ampil, Christopher Eads, Jana Ampil, Jonah Ampil, and Reid Ampil.
Priscila practiced nursing in Washington, D.C., Houston, and at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas where she retired. In addition to caring for our family, Priscila had a passion for gardening and a love for cooking. If you grew up in their house or even visited, you were never allowed to be hungry.
While living in McKinney, Texas, Priscila suffered a stroke on December 19, 2019 and was cared for at a nursing facility until her final journey home. She is now at peace with the Lord and with our father. We are thankful for all that she has given us, and we all will miss her dearly.
