When Nathan informed me today, my immediate words were 'No, you have it wrong, David doesn't have a son old enough to be in the army'. In my mind, Rene was still a shy, sweet, sweet 10 yr old. But I see he grew up to be a fine young man who was doing what truly made him happy while his family and country were proud. Not many people can say that at any age.
