Racheal A. Smith's Obituary
Racheal Phillips Smith went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 18, 2012 at the age of 91. She was born and raised in Dallas,Texas Sepember 10, 1910 to Sallie Davis and Jewett Phillips. Preceeded in death by her parents, beloved husband Jack, and brother, Bob. She was a graduate of Forest Ave High School. She set up Literacy clinics to train teachers throughout the southwest, had numerous hours of Bible classes from Baylor extension courses, was an active member of Lakeside Baptist Church, supported The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews organizaiton, and was an amateur artist and painter. She is survived by her brother Wesley Phillips and wife Mary, nieces Theresa Phillips, Tammy McGuire and husband Ken, of Hazel Green, AL. Nieces Susan Emerson and husband Sam, Sharon Lester and husband Jimmy, both of Fayetteville, AR, and Dana Lynch and husband James of Eustace, TX. She is also survived by her life time friend and Sister-in-Love, Leah Raskin Garland, TX, and family Janice Morton Garland, TX, Amy Morton Houston, TX, Audrey Morton, Joplin, MO. and Eloise Weathers Dickinson, TX. Services are Friday, June 22, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Restland Funeral Home, Dallas, TX.
