Ralph Gaston Aguilar's Obituary
Ralph was born on March 31, 1951 in Dallas, Texas to parents Reuben Perez and Winnie Lee Aguilar. He passed away at home on January 21, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, 5 brothers, 2 nieces, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
He is survived by his son Enrique Aguilar; brothers Edward Barnett, Refugio Aguilar, and Roberto Aguilar; sisters Rebecca Silvas, Rachel Kruse, and Rita Aguilar-Buda; sisters-in-law Elaine Barnett and Carol Stover-Aguilar; brother-in-law Bennie Silvas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and an abundance of friends.
Ralph attended North Dallas High School 1966-1969 where he was a member of the History Club, FTA, Student Council and the Head Manager of the Varsity Football team for 2 years. One of his fondest memories as Head Manager was his parents hosting the 1969 North Dallas Football Banquet at their house. While in high school he attended Young Life and after being baptized June 13, 1971, he became a counselor for Young Life camp.
After graduating from North Dallas HS he attended North Texas State University in Denton, Texas where he studied History, Writing, and Acting. He also attended El Centro for Photography.
Ralph had a wide range of hobbies and interests including: writing, acting, photography , history, movies, plays, baseball, the Dallas Cowboys, University Texas Longhorns, collecting baseball and football memorabilia, crossword puzzles, and Trivial Pursuit. He had a deep love for the Texas Rangers and always said he wanted to see them win the World Series before he died. That wish came true in 2023.
He will be missed and remembered always.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Valwood Park Baptist Church. 2727 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234. Lunch will follow.
