Ralph Edward Lane's Obituary
Ralph Edward Lane of Dallas, Texas, age 95, died peacefully at home on July 29, 2025 after being on hospice care for several months.
Ralph was born in Fort Worth, Texas on July 10, 1930 to Vernon and Nettie Lane. He attended Birdville Public School and graduated in 1947. Shortly thereafter he joined the Air Force, where he met and married Joy Blankenship. They had two sons, Carl and Stephen. Ralph and Joy were married for seventy years, then Joy passed away in 2022.
Ralph is preceded in death by his wife Joy, parents Vernon and Nettie, brother Henry, son Carl and granddaughter Bianca.
Ralph is survived by his brother David, his son Stephen and his wife Cheri, daughter-in-law Susan Morrison, sister-in-law Billie, his grandchildren Marcus Lane, Traci Patterson, Jack Lane and Leslie Lane, great grandchildren Hunter Patterson, David Patterson and Colten Young. He was also blessed to have many nieces and nephews.
Ralph and Joy were members of the Dallas Elk's Lodge #71, where he served as Trustee for ten years and was Bingo Chairman for several years. They also belonged to the lodge's Wapiti Group and traveled all over the United States.
He was an amazing husband, dad and granddad and will be greatly missed. His stories of his life were inspiring and captivating.
Ralph has gone on to be with the love of his life, Joy, where she was waiting for him with open arms!
