Ralph Rosborough Lewis Jr.'s Obituary
Ralph Rosborough Lewis, Jr. passed from this life on January 7, 2017. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 9, 1929 to Ralph Rosborough Lewis, Sr and Evelyn Hyde Lewis. Ralph, his older sister Nancy, and his parents moved to Dallas, TX when he was 2 years old where he attended Highland Park schools. He was drafted into the U.S Army First Calvary and he fought in the Korean War. After returning home from service, Ralph attended Arlington State College, then relocated to Midland, Texas where he met and married Mary Lou Sessions. They moved back to the Dallas area until the present. Ralph retired from The Goodyear Tire Company after more than 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Lou; his three children, Anne Lewis Jewell and her husband Jim; William Hoyt Lewis and his wife Martha; Lynne Lewis Rush and her husband, Alan; and 8 grandchildren: Jillianne Jewell, Dillon Lewis, Vivianne Jewell, Arianne Jewell, Sara Lewis, William Rush, Alex Rush and Matthew Rush. The family will receive friends on Wed., 01/11/17 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, 1/12/17 at 11:00 am at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
