Ramal "Rae" Dean Hill's Obituary
Ramal Dean Hill went to be with her Lord on August 20, 2018 in Richardson, Texas. Rae, as her friends from around the country and world knew her, was born to Lucille and Lamar Williams on August 4, 1923, in Birmingham, Alabama.When she was ten years old, the family moved to Tampa, where she attended St Petersburg Jr. College and worked as a secretary when World War II broke out. She was a wartime bride and mother, and her husband’s work allowed her to travel the world with her family. She had an artist’s eye and enjoyed painting and sewing, travel, and most of all, her faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert B Hill of Lampasas Texas, her parents, and both of her sisters, Evelyn Hempenius of Morro Bay,California and Lee Swindell of St Petersburg, Florida. She is survived by Michael Henderson of Garland, Texas; Gary and Marilyn Henderson of Pinehurst, Texas; Pam Henderson and Criss Stillwagon of St Simons Island, Georgia; Shawn and Dale Johnson of Enumclaw, Washington; and Crista and Russ Meyer of Ridgway, Colorado; ten grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.Services will be at 3pm, Thursday, August 24, 2018 at Wildwood Chapel, Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Texas 75243. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hill Stokes Youth Scholarship Program, in care of Metro Beekeepers Association, c/o Anne Ingle, 6824 W Poly Webb Rd, Arlington Texas 76106, in honor of Ramal and HB Hill. Metro Beekeepers is a 501.c.3 corporation.
