Randall Hugh Nance's Obituary
Randall Hugh Nance was born on February 12, 1948 in Quanah, Texas and passed away January 24, 2019 in Plano, Texas. After graduating from Childress High School, he attended Midwestern State University before moving to Dallas, Texas. He began his career in insurance where he worked in various positions before beginning his second career in the trucking industry. He retired from Schneider National after many years of driving a truck and working in the Operation Service Center. While he was in Dallas, he met the love of his life, Nancy. They married in 1970 and moved to Garland, Texas in 1975 to raise their family. Randy took great joy in shuttling his grandchildren to school and activities, watching their sporting events and enjoying a good dessert to satisfy his sweet tooth. Randy was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Nance; his father, Roland “Buck” Nance; and his mother, Ima Lee Arnn Nance. He is survived by his daughter, Courtney Clearfield and husband, Robb Clearfield of Royse City, Texas and grandchildren, Chloe Clearfield and Connor Clearfield.The visitation for Randy will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Restland Funeral Home. The service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 28, 2019 at Freeman Heights Baptist Church in Garland, Texas.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
