It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sardarni Rashpal Kaur Randhawa, who peacefully departed in the early hours of Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the age of 79 in Plano, Texas. Born in Village Baddowal, District Ludhiana, Punjab, India, she was the beloved daughter of Jaswant Kaur and Shamsher Singh Grewal. From her humble beginnings in India to her immigration to the United States in 1981, Rashpal Kaur lived a life grounded in simplicity and faith. Her unwavering devotion to family and love for her community were the cornerstones of her life. She was a woman of perseverance and dedication, always striving to create a better life for her loved ones.
As one of the early Sikh immigrants to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Rashpal Kaur was a founding member of Gurdwara Singh Sabha of North Texas. Raised with strong values and reverence for Waheguru (Lord Almighty), she played an instrumental role in the growth and success of the Sikh community in the region. Her devotion to others, her generosity, and her warm spirit left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
Rashpal Kaur is survived by her loving son, Amandeep Singh; daughter, Balpreet Kaur; daughter-in-law, Puneet Kaur, and two cherished grandchildren, Amrita Kaur and Tegh Singh, along with an extensive extended family who will deeply miss her presence.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home's Memorial Chapel, livestreamed at: https://www.youtube.com/live/271bgkeQ57M?reload=9&feature=share , followed by final prayers and langar (communal meal) from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM at Gurdwara Singh Sabha of North Texas.
She will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
